Job Summary
The King Learning Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate paraprofessional to support our educational team in providing exceptional learning experiences for students. This position involves working closely with teachers and students to facilitate a positive and productive learning environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering student growth and development, demonstrating patience and understanding while assisting with various educational tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities.
• Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teachers and parents as necessary.
• Create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Help prepare instructional materials and resources for classroom activities.
• Assist with classroom management and organization, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
• Foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff to promote a collaborative learning atmosphere.

Requirements

• AA/AS or higher or the equivalent college credits (64 semester hours) or a passing score on Para Assessment.
• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow directions from teachers and administrators.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in using educational technology.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities within the classroom.
