This position is located at Deer Lodge Medical Center in Deer Lodge, Montana. We are hiring a PRN Medical Laboratory Scientist. Phlebotomy experience is required. Minimum qualifications to include B.S. in Medical Technology, Microbiology, or related science. Current ASCP or AMT certification. Current Montana Clinical Laboratory Scientist License. One year’s experience in a clinical setting, or completion of a clinical rotation program. (Preferred but not required) Casual call to fill in when needed. Competitive wage available.
The Lab Technologist will perform a variety of complex testing in all departments of the laboratory including Hematology, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Molecular/PCR, Microbiology, Blood Bank, and Coagulation for our critical access hospital. Must work independently with little supervision to provide efficient and accurate laboratory results. Will collect a variety of biological specimens from patients, including blood. Will participate in Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Proficiency Testing practices. Maintains quality and safety in the laboratory and troubleshoots analytical issues as needed. Repairs and maintains laboratory instrumentation. Reviews patient results for accuracy and verifies results in hospital LIS. DLMC is an eligible facility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness.(PSLF)
Minimum qualifications:
· B.S. in Medical Technology, Microbiology, or related science.
· Current ASCP or AMT certification.
· Current Montana Clinical Laboratory Scientist License.
· One year experience in a clinical setting, or completion of a clinical rotation program.(preferred but not required).

Pay: $32.00 - $45.00 per hour
