- The Hotel Sales Manager role is considered a management leadership role.
- Initial on-boarding sales and leadership training, as well as ongoing training.
The Hotel Sales Manager will play a key role in exceeding hotel and sales revenue by offering high-end events and managing the event from start to finish ensuring the client's expectations have been exceeded.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in Hotel Sales with a focus on all markets.
Other duties for the Hotel Sales Manager:
- Handle incoming sales inquiries via telephone, walk-in or email for space and rooms efficiently and professionally.
- Work closely with clients to sell room nights, event space and up-sell products and services, with the ability to bring the sale to closure and increase revenues for the lodge.
- Meet with walk-in clients and qualify lead for outside account/sales manager when appropriate.
- Meet with clients to detail their event and prepare banquet event orders (BEO) for the lodge staff.
- Proactively cross sell all of the property facilities and amenities (i.e., Golf / Restaurant) to group planners.
- Partner with Operations in providing a customer experience that exceeds the customer’s expectations.
- Participate in a weekly/monthly property sales meeting process, Revenue Management meetings, Department staff management meetings, Pre and post conference client meetings, CVB and other local meetings to enhance networking and revenue.
- Overall responsibility for administrative functions associated with booking a catering event.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 Years’ experience in hotel sales or events planning
- Food & Beverage experience a plus.
