POSITION SUMMARY:
Deep Mile has an opening for Electronic Health Record (EHR) Clinical Functions Advisor (CFA)/
Trainer to join our team. The CFA effectively leads the delivery of EHR training to end users to include details of how the workflows in the EHR were designed to be used.
Estimated Travel Requirement: 10-25%
RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Lead and deliver training for the Military Health System (MHS) Electronic Healthcare Record (EHR) applications, including but not limited to, MHS GENESIS, AHLTA, CHCS, Essentris, APLIS, HAIMS,
ICP, etc., using the following methods:
- Individual training
- Group instruction including clinic huddles, Informatic Steering Committee (ISC) meetings, and Peer Expert meetings
- Targeted over-the-shoulder support
- Virtual training support
- Train-the-trainer
- Provide formal and informal training and implementation guidance, integration, and change management support to functional users (medical and dental) requiring assistance in implementing, using, and integrating EHR.
- Provide training and workflow adoption support to end users in accordance with position-specific clinical and business workflows.
- Collaborate with site informatics team (i.e., Chief Medical Informatics Officer [CMIO], Chief Nursing
Informatics Officer [CNIO], Site Integrators, Training Roles Managers, etc.), Government Site Lead, and
Project Management team to identify site-specific training opportunities and objectives and provide training support to address identified opportunities/objectives.
- Utilize continuous quality improvement principles to evaluate and provide feedback on existing MHS
EHR applications training programs and materials.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training and development programs. Use relevant evaluation data to revise and/or recommend changes in instructional objectives and methods.
- Coordinate and perform administrative functions necessary to deliver and document training and workflow level coaching programs.
- Master EHR applications and organizational workflows.
- Design, develop, implement, and evaluate training plans, curricula, and methodology.
- Design, develop, implement, and evaluate training gaps, materials, plans, and instructional aids.
- Attend and/or conduct required meetings, conference calls and briefings as directed by the Government
Site Lead and Project Management Team on-site and project-wide to share knowledge, provide updates, and address questions and/or concerns.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Two (2) to five (5) years of experience providing Clinical Information Systems (CIS) workflow coaching/training
- Clinical Informatics or Clinical / Healthcare related degree preferred
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Registered Nurse (RN) / Medical Assistant (MA) or similar healthcare certification preferred
- Experience with Cerner or other EHR modules (Acute, Ambulatory, Ancillary, Dental, Emergency
Department, Laboratory, Maternity, Radiology / Pharmacy, Revenue Cycle, Surgery / Anesthesia) preferred
- Experience with Defense Health Agency (DHA) EHR Applications (AHLTA, CHCS, Essentris, APLIS,
HAIMS, ICP, etc.) preferred
- Experience supporting the Military Health System (MHS) preferred
- Experience with training medical personnel on clinical information systems (CIS) preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse medical community.
US Citizenship Required - Candidate will need to obtain a DoD Public Trust Clearance
May be required to travel to local or other non-local locations
