Role Description:
The Marine Operations Specialist will participate in offshore professional diving operations in support of DEEP's Vanguard underwater habitat and habitat support buoy.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the maintaining and servicing diving equipment, underwater research equipment, divers life support systems, diesel/gas engines and generators on small vessels and mooring systems.
- Serves as a Captain and crew member aboard DEEP operated passenger and research vessels.
- Assists the Habitat Operations Director and qualified Diving Supervisors in monitoring habitat life support systems, provides logistical and emergency response in support of Vanguard habitat saturation diving operations.
- Assists and supports specialized dive training for aquanauts, scientists and clients in the accomplishment of underwater tasks and objectives associated with the Vanguard Underwater
Preferred Skills and Certifications:
- Commercial or Military Diver Certificate
- Current USCG Captain's License
- AAUS Scientific Diver
- Current, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification
- Current Automatic External Defibrillator Certification
- Current First Aid Certification
- Current Oxygen Administration Certification
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Advanced Open Water Dive Certification / Minimum 100 dives

Salary: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 USD based on experience
