What are the responsibilities and job description for the Powder Coat Painter, 2nd Shift position at Dee Zee, Inc?
The Powder Coat Painter will operate automated powder coat paint system, fill and clean paint hoppers, adjust paint nozzles and operate manual paint guns as needed for touch up.

Accountabilities:
- Maintain paint system to achieve optimum performance.
- Operate automatic paint guns.
- Operate manual paint gun as needed for touch up.
- Perform necessary testing to assure quality of parts in an environmentally safe state and maintain records.
- Support Dee Zee's environmental policy with proactive process implementation, improvement suggestions, reducing waste and acting on environmental performance results and findings.
- Understand, maintain and operate mechanical functions of equipment in paint area.
- Adjust paint guns and nozzles according to paint coverage.
- Clean and fill paint hoppers.
Qualifications:
- 1 year of powder coat painting experience preferred.
- Ability to stop the production line and/or prevent shipment of products due to nonconformance or potential nonconformance products to Dee Zee customers.
- Knowledge of how to check mill thickness with a mill gauge meter.
- Proficiency in paint room programming and setting up new recipes.
- Quality-focused with strong attention to cleanliness and organization.
- Ability to read and comprehend work instructions, blueprints and control plans.
- Ability to run all paint equipment necessary.
- Ability to set up paint guns and system to obtain the proper paint coverage on parts.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Salary : $17 - $19
