The Role:
As a Mitigation Technician, you will play a crucial role in restoring properties affected by fire, water, and other emergencies. Your responsibilities will include handling the mitigation and restoration process, making a significant impact on the lives of our clients during challenging times.
Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and assess the scope of damage
- Inspect and document property damage, including photos, notes, and diagrams
- Perform water extraction, drying, dehumidification and hazardous clean-up according to IICRC standards
- Complete fire, smoke, and soot cleanup with precision and care
- Apply antimicrobial treatments and odor control measures as needed
- Communicate clearly with customers about the process and progress, providing professionalism and reassurance throughout the job
- Maintain accurate job records and update the Emergency Services Project Manager on job status
- Inspect, clean, and maintain tools and equipment
- Follow OSHA and company safety protocols, participating in ongoing safety and industry training
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of one year of experience in the restoration industry
- IICRC certifications in water, fire, or mold are a plus
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work in physically demanding conditions
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
- Willingness to work on-call for emergency response
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Working Conditions:
- This role requires both indoor and outdoor work, often in varied weather conditions.
- Must be available to work on-call and respond to emergencies as needed.
- Exposure to conditions such as dust, fumes, and noise is common.
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
