What are the responsibilities and job description for the Semi Trailer Mechanic position at Dedicated Diesel?
We are currently seeking an experienced Semi Trailer Shop Mechanic at our Urbana, IL facility.
Responsibilities:
Perform minor and major repairs on semi trailers
- Repairing tears and structural damage on the sides of semi trailers
- Replacing lights
- Tire repair
- Landing gear repair
- Frame repair
- Preventative maintenance / running repair / brakes / suspension
- Maintain ABS systems
Conduct regular preventative maintenance and annual DOT inspection
Diagnose problems with trailers and plan repairs
Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles
Requirements for Semi Trailer Mechanic:
- 6 months of basic welding experience
- Basic set of tools
- Previous experience in semi trailer repair & welding preferred
- Able to work in varying weather conditions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
