SUMMARY
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for achieving revenue and margin objectives within an assigned geographic territory. This includes managing all direct sales activities, overseeing the performance of assigned Manufacturers’ Representatives, and developing strategic relationships with Tier 1 Market Maker accounts. In addition, the Regional Sales Manager will drive business growth within assigned Vertical Market Segments, ensuring alignment with Dedicated Computing’s strategic initiatives and customer needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Customer Focus
- Consistently exceed assigned Revenue and Margin Plans within the territory.
- Manage all sales activities across assigned geography, including direct accounts and channel partners.
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities with both existing and new customers.
- Build and expand relationships within all relevant Business Units that have TAM for Dedicated Computing’s products and services.
- Using Strategic Sales methodology, drive growth and strategic alignment within Tier 1 Market Maker accounts, serving as the primary business leader and relationship owner.
- Drive business development and revenue growth within assigned Vertical Market Segments, identifying and executing opportunities that align with Dedicated Computing’s core capabilities and value propositions.
- Develop and manage assigned Manufacturers’ Representatives, ensuring alignment with company objectives, sales process adherence, and revenue performance.
- Create and execute territory and vertical market plans to optimize coverage and maximize market share.
- Provide guidance, motivation, and accountability for Manufacturers’ Representatives, including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and termination when necessary.
- Create value by identifying unique hardware, software, and service solutions that address customer challenges and deliver measurable ROI.
- Utilize Dedicated Computing’s “How We Live Our Mission” sales methodology and effectively manage opportunities in HubSpot CRM.
- Develop written proposals and presentations articulating value propositions and commercial solutions.
- Partner closely with Account Managers, Inside Sales, and Sales Engineering teams to deliver world-class customer outcomes.
- Initiate and negotiate Supply Agreements and Statements of Work (SOWs) for new business engagements.
Market Knowledge
- Develop deep expertise in assigned vertical markets, applications, and customer ecosystems.
- Continuously monitor competitive activity, emerging technologies, and customer trends to inform strategic direction.
- Align Dedicated Computing’s core competencies and product roadmap with evolving market needs.
- Collect, analyze, and share competitive intelligence to support business strategy and positioning.
Leadership
- Serve as the primary sales leader for the assigned territory, ensuring consistent execution of company strategy.
- Take full responsibility for achieving territory revenue and profitability goals.
- Lead, coach, and manage the network of Manufacturers’ Representatives to ensure performance excellence and territory coverage.
- Provide regular feedback and performance evaluations for assigned reps, making adjustments as needed to maintain high standards of performance and alignment.
- Foster strong internal collaboration across sales, engineering, operations, and executive leadership.
- Actively participate in monthly and quarterly business reviews, sales planning sessions, and company initiatives.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of successful technical sales experience with a focus on Servers, CPU's, GPU’s and rack level integration sales.
- Deep understanding and proven track record of successfully using a Strategic Sales methodology with a preference for Miller-Heiman.
- Proven track record of developing new business and expanding existing customer relationships.
- Experience managing a geographic territory and working through Manufacturers’ Representatives or channel partners.
- Demonstrated ability to hire, develop, and manage sales representatives or rep firms.
- Experience driving growth within defined vertical market segments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HubSpot CRM (or equivalent).
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness to travel extensively (up to 60% of the time).
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering related technical discipline.
- Experience selling purpose-built computing solutions to OEMs and Tier 1 accounts.
- Familiarity with complex, value-based solution selling in industrial, medical, or defense markets.
- Knowledge of Dedicated Computing’s target verticals and customer applications.
