The ideal candidate has a degree in Exercise Science or a related field. Comfortable working with varied populations and teaching large and small group fitness classes.. Current certification in CPR, AED, and First Aid a plus. He or she has a positive attitude and is enthusiastic about fitness, has an active lifestyle, and has superior customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provides fitness evaluations and individual cardiovascular and weight training programs for members
- Supervises the use of all equipment to ensure member safety
- Ensures the fitness areas and equipment are clean and working properly at all times
- Completes and maintains fitness documentation (member assessments, evaluations, individual training records, etc.)
- Follows all safety policies and procedures
- Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- College degree in Exercise Science or related field
- Two years of experience preferred
- Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications a plus
- Must exhibit the characteristics of an active and healthy lifestyle
- Communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, staff, and others
- Safety and customer service oriented
- Personality that is outgoing, upbeat, positive, and motivating
- Highly organized and self-motivated
- Proficient computer and internet skills
- Able to work a flexible schedule, which may include working days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
