Job Highlights
Required Knowledge:
- Current certification in lifeguarding, CPR, AED, and First Aid from a recognized organization (American Red Cross ) Must have valid certification for full 2026 summer- Please attach certification with application.
Qualifications:
- Strong swimming skills, including the ability to swim efficiently, retrieve objects from deep water, and perform rescues in various aquatic environments
- 16 years or older
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to remain calm, vigilant, and alert to signs of distress
- Ability to sit for extended periods while on duty
- Regular and flexible availability, including weekends and some holidays. Required to work 2 out of 3 holidays (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day)
- Willingness to assist with cleaning locker rooms and maintaining facility standards
- Enforce facility rules and regulations to promote a safe and orderly environment for all patrons, addressing any violations or unsafe behaviors as necessary
- Provide friendly and courteous customer service to patrons, addressing inquiries, concerns, and requests in a prompt and professional manner
- Proven experience in lifeguarding -experience in a club environment is preferred but not required
Responsibilities:
- Monitor pool and/or waterfront areas to prevent accidents, enforce safety rules, and respond effectively to emergencies
- Conduct regular surveillance of the aquatic facility, including scanning assigned zones, checking water quality, and monitoring weather conditions
- Supervise swimmers and members in and around the pool area to ensure safety
- Greet and interact with members in a friendly and professional manner
- Test and record pool chemical levels daily
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized pool deck and locker room areas
- Provide excellent customer service to all members
- Enforce all rules outlined in the facility’s guidelines (Green Book)
- Assist with swim lessons, swim team activities, and summer programs
- Recognize emergencies and respond quickly and appropriately
- Support and participate in pool-related events to promote member engagement
- Assist with routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning pool decks, testing water chemistry, and inspecting equipment, to ensure a clean, safe, and operational facility
Benefits:

- Pay: Starts $16.50-19 per hour- based on experience
