Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Lead to oversee daily operations within our warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management processes. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient inventory management, logistics coordination, and team performance. The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for maintaining safety standards, optimizing workflows, and driving process improvements to enhance overall operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Manage inventory control processes, including receiving, storing, and shipping products efficiently.
- Oversee the operation of warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage stock movements.
- Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
- Train, mentor, and lead warehouse staff to ensure high performance and effective teamwork.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and receipts using systems such as Microsoft D365.
- Ensure compliance with e-commerce fulfillment requirements and logistics best practices.
- Oversee and manage wholesale operations.
- Perform regular inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure mechanical safety and functionality.
- Coordinate heavy lifting and materials handling tasks while ensuring proper techniques are utilized.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse management or as a warehouse supervisor with a strong understanding of logistics operations.
- Familiarity with inventory management practices and experience in shipping & receiving processes.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Experience and familiarity with ecommerce and/or wholesale in a distribution environment is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate staff towards achieving operational goals.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies to streamline operations.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting as required by the role.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing inventory control.
