Join our team as an Inside Sales associate at Decks and Docks Company, where you will play a pivotal role in the success of our rapidly expanding company. This full-time position offers stability and provides a platform for career advancement.
Responsibilities:
Seeking a candidate who will manage and address customer needs, perform sales calls, secure new business, and grow current accounts consistently and effectively. This position requires having frequent contact with longstanding customers and contractors in person, by phone, and walk-ins. Other duties will include generating sales orders, invoicing sales tickets, and working with others at the location to ensure that customer orders are processed in BisTrack and delivered efficiently.
- Greet and assist customers in the store, providing knowledgeable guidance on lumber and building materials.
- Process sales transactions accurately using BisTrack.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or in person, offering product recommendations and solutions.
- Prepare quotes, process orders, and coordinate deliveries with the team.
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, restocking displays as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless customer service between indoor and outdoor operations.
Qualifications:
Seeking a detail-oriented person that thrives when multi-tasking. The successful person will be motivated, dependable, shows personal initiative, has an aptitude for detail, and will have a positive mind set.
- Previous experience with the ERP system BisTrack is highly desired.
- Previous experience in the building materials sales industry is a plus.
- Previous experience relating to inventory control is a plus and a willingness to get outside the office if physical inventory verification is necessary.
- Being comfortable each day with telephone communication with customers and vendors.
- Exceptional work ethic, excellent communication skills and organizational skills
- Must have reliable transportation.
