- Responsibilities:**
- Set up machines
- Operate a battery of machines
- Perform quality inspections in accordance with policy
- Make minor adjustments and replace tools as indicated by quality inspection
- Make minor repairs
- Inspect hoppers and chutes for mixed parts
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment
- Comply with policies, procedures, regulations and laws
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members.
- Assist set-up and repair person
- Minor changeover including but not limited to hole, tap and plug size
- Screen, cob-meal and dry shavings and slugs
- Supply material for machine (in absence of utility person)
- Operate lifts
- Other assigned duties for which qualified
**Experience:**
- Hands-on experience with production processes
- Machinery operation
- Quality control
- Familiarity with industry standards and safety protocols.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Requirements:**
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Basic reading, writing and mathematics are required
- Completion of on-the-job training
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to occasionally lift forty five (45) pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to climb stairs
- Ability to hear safety warnings
- Visual acuity
- Ability to manipulate hand tools
