Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled 3D CAD Designer / Drafter to join our mechanical engineering department. This role focuses on creating production-ready 3D models, assemblies, and fabrication drawings using Fusion 360. The position works closely with mechanical engineers and manufacturing staff to support the design, build, and refinement of industrial equipment.
This is primarily a design role, but occasional time on the shop floor reviewing builds and identifying manufacturing or assembly issues is part of the job.

Key Responsibilities
• Create detailed 3D part and assembly models in Fusion 360
• Produce 2D fabrication and machining drawings
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers on design iterations
• Apply design-for-manufacturing best practices
• Maintain organized CAD file structures and version control
• Review builds on the shop floor and assist in resolving design or assembly challenges
• Support other department tasks as needed in a small-team environment

Required Qualifications
• 1–2 years of professional 3D CAD design experience
• Proficiency in Fusion 360 for commercial mechanical design
• Ability to provide a portfolio or examples of prior design work
• Strong attention to detail and mechanical design intuition
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Canby, Oregon
• Must complete a short practical design project during the interview process

• Experience with industrial or mechanical equipment
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes or machine shop environments
• General Knowledge a plus: ASME, GD&T, or mechanical drafting standards
