What are the responsibilities and job description for the Capital Markets Attorney - 3rd to 8th year position at Dechert LLP?
We are seeking an associate with 3-8 years of capital markets experience to join our widely recognized Corporate Finance and Capital Markets practice. Our group structures and executes innovative, complex financial transactions for clients across asset management and other major industries in countries around the world. We have more than 125 lawyers located in the firm’s U.S., European, and Asian offices who collaborate with each other and other Dechert practices to execute domestic and cross-border transactions seamlessly. We have market-leading practices organizing and raising capital for private credit and private equity firms, in leading IPOs and debt financings in the capital markets, and in raising capital for the life sciences industry. Bloomberg, The Legal 500 and IFLR 1000, among other industry reporting services regularly report on our group’s achievements.
Salary is $260,000 commensurate with class year and experience.
We are looking for:
- Experience representing issuers, underwriters and placement agents in public offerings, private placements and other securities offerings, including compliance with, and reporting under, the 1933 Act and 1934 Act
- Experience representing business development companies (BDCs) and other types of 1940 Act funds and 1933 Act ETFs would be helpful
- Experience as a key member of deal teams, including responsibility of running key aspects of transactions, from due diligence through closing is ideal
- Large law firm experience preferred
