Description:
Finance Inventory Control Specialist
This is a finance position with a maximum pay rate of $19.00 per hour. The role requires in-person interviews and is scheduled Monday through Friday, from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. The successful candidate must have proven experience in inventory control and be able to work across all three warehouse environments: Dry, Cooler, and Freezer. In addition, candidates must demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data entry.
Responsibilities
• Ensure the integrity of the physical count of in-house inventory through cycle counting and other assigned duties.
• Conduct cycle counts of the warehouse at least four times per year, covering all pick and reserve slots, and address discrepancies and product/packaging integrity issues.
• Perform quality checks on date-sensitive, slow-moving, and obsolete items by collaborating with Merchandising. Handle the recoup function as needed.
• Investigate causes of weight variances, receiving/put away/letdown issues, and damaged products resulting from warehouse moves.
• Proactively monitor First-in First-out (FIFO) items to ensure proper rotation.
• Verify that reserves are accurately recorded and confirm the count of each reserve pallet.
• Ensure that put-away and transfer processes are performed correctly by both day and night personnel.
• Initiate and document product transfers from the cooler to the freezer as required.
• Review standard management reports and research the causes of inventory shrinkage.
• Coordinate will-call orders as scheduled, including serving as Will-call Clerk on designated Saturdays.
Qualifications
Education
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
• At least 2 year of inventory control experience preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and data entry is required.
Professional Skills
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates.
• Exemplary listening skills to facilitate effective two-way communication.
• Competency in basic math: add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Solid problem-solving abilities.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
