Position Overview
We're seeking a reliable Truck Driver/Load-In Crew Member to join our touring production team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys travel, hands-on production work, and being part of a fast-paced event environment. Travel and load-in typically begin on Thursdays, with load-out and return travel most often completed on Sundays.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company trucks to transport production equipment to and from event venues.
- Travel and begin load-in on Thursdays in preparation for weekend competitions.
- Assist with load-in and load-out of staging, lighting, sound, backdrops, and production gear.
- Support efficient setup prior to events and teardown following event completion, typically on Sundays.
- Work closely with production and event teams to ensure timelines and safety standards are met.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of truck, equipment, and storage areas.
- Perform basic vehicle checks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Provide additional on-site production or backstage support as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required).
- Experience driving box trucks or commercial vehicles preferred.
- Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy production equipment.
- Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working long event days.
- Willingness to travel and work weekends during competition season.
