We recognize that experience comes in many forms. If your background exceeds this range, we are focused on finding the right person and are open to a conversation.
Why Deacon
Deacon Construction has been building across California, Oregon, Washington, and Idaho for 45 years. We specialize in General Construction across a wide range of markets, including Multifamily, Industrial, Retail, Hospitality, Healthcare, Senior Living, Office, and more. We are proud of the work, but what we are most proud of is the company we have built around it. The work matters to us, and so do the people doing it.
The Role
This is a leadership position with full ownership of the Special Projects division in the Seattle and Redmond area. You will build, hire, and develop a high-performing project team from the ground up while driving operational excellence, financial performance, and business development across a portfolio of special projects. This is the kind of role where you put your fingerprint on something real.
You will lead, mentor, and grow Project Managers, Superintendents, Project Engineers, and Project Assistants. You are not just managing a division. You are developing the people who will carry it forward.
What You'll Actually Do
This is a primarily in-office role based in the Seattle/Redmond area with regular visits to job sites and some hybrid flexibility. Travel to job sites, client engagements, and company events is expected. Some limited overnight travel may be required for events and client activities.
Types of Projects
Our Special Projects division focuses on smaller to mid-size commercial construction projects, including tenant improvements, renovations, and ground-up construction across a variety of market sectors, including Multifamily, Retail, Hospitality, Healthcare, Office, and more. If you thrive in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment where no two projects are the same, this is your kind of work.
