Essential Job Functions
Required – High School diploma
Preferred – bachelor’s degree in business or experience in logistics and shipping.
Experience/Knowledge/Abilities
Required: 2 years of transportation, logistics, dispatch or supply chain experience.
Proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) Microsoft Excel

Essential Job Functions
- Coordinate and schedule inbound and outbound shipments to meet customer business requirements.
- Plan Freight Movements efficiently while minimizing transportation costs.
- Monitor Shipments and proactively communicate delays and service disruptions.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for carriers and internal departments for transportation related needs.
- Analyze carrier performance metrics including service, cost and compliance.
- Assists with onboarding new carriers and brokers
- Assist in carrier rate negotiations and preparedness
- Assist with generating weekly KPI metrics
- Complete ad hoc reporting
- Assists Logistics Manager on annual forecasts and freight budget
