Reports to: Director of Marketing
FLSA Classification: Exempt
Travel: 10-15% as needed
PURPOSE
Our firm is seeking an energetic, seasoned, and self-driven team member who will have an immediate positive impact on our market-driven firm. This position will be based in one of our Louisiana offices (Thibodaux, Baton Rouge, Covington, Lafayette, or New Orleans).
The Proposal Specialist is responsible for developing, coordinating, and submitting high-quality Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) and proposals that support DDG’s growth. This role ensures proposal content is accurate, compliant, and aligned with DDG’s brand standards while maintaining proposal resources, supporting proposal team members, and promoting the firm’s core values. The Proposal Specialist collaborates with internal teams to deliver compelling pursuit materials that strengthen DDG’s competitive position and contribute to the firm’s overall success.

ACTIVITIES RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote DDG’s core values, both internally and externally, and comply with the DDG Company Manual.
- Lead and coordinate the preparation, review, and submission of Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) and proposals, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely completion.
- Maintain proposal resources, including resumes, project descriptions, and templates ensuring information is current and readily accessible.
- Provide guidance and support to Proposal Coordinators, serving as a resource for best practices, quality standards, and proposal development processes.
- Travel as needed to deliver proposals and to collaborate with Marketing team members in other office locations.
- Stay current on industry trends, client requirements, procurement practices, and proposal best practices to strengthen DDG’s competitive positioning and pursuit success.
- Attend events on behalf of DDG as needed.
- Ensure DDG’s brand and messaging is being used consistently within all correspondence.
- Perform other marketing tasks as assigned by the Director of Marketing or other team members to meet deadlines.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, or another Related Field
- 1-3 Years of Relevant Workforce Experience
- Experience with InDesign and Canva
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in an extremely fast paced environment
- Must be able to meet deadlines in a comprehensive manner
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to travel to various offices, conferences, company events and training.
