Activities And Responsibilities
- Manage environmental permitting, compliance, and regulatory projects for public and private sector clients.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, regulatory agencies, and internal project teams.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, scopes of work, and resource allocations.
- Lead permitting efforts involving agencies such as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), state environmental agencies, and other regulatory authorities.
- Coordinate environmental assessments, wetland delineations, threatened and endangered species reviews, habitat assessments, and other environmental studies.
- Prepare and review technical reports, permit applications, environmental documentation, and agency correspondence.
- Manage project financial performance, including invoicing, forecasting, and budget tracking.
- Mentor and supervise environmental scientists, biologists, and technical staff.
- Support business development activities, including proposal preparation, client outreach, and project interviews.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with company quality standards.
- Strong understanding of Clean Water Act Sections 401 and 404, NEPA, Endangered Species Act, and related environmental regulations.
- Excellent project management, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to identify and solve complex problems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to be both creative and analytical.
- Detail-oriented and accurate.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and environmental GIS applications.
- 7 years of environmental consulting or regulatory experience.
- Experience managing environmental permitting and compliance projects.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating with regulatory agencies and clients.
