Snow Help position is responsible for supporting general outdoor maintenance and snow removal services. This role includes assisting with organization, equipment handling, and seasonal outdoor duties to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance, move equipment, and complete general outdoor tasks.
  • Assist with snow removal, including shoveling, plowing, and applying salt or ice-melt to driveways, walkways, and entrances.
  • Operate landscaping and snow removal equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and organizing materials and tools as needed.
  • Maintain equipment through basic cleaning and regular upkeep.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures.
  • Communicate any issues, hazards, or maintenance needs to management.

Work with Territory Manager and snow division team to assess performance on previous storms, identify areas for improvement and development and execute a strategy to remedy the deficiencies.

Work with dedicated snow laborers to ensure that supplies are stocked, vehicles and equipment are in working order and crews are available.

Identify potential weaknesses and “what-if” scenarios and work with others to develop backup plans

Ensure snow crews have property maps, and all related snow removal supplies/equipment.

Put plans in place to flex-up for large or prolonged storms, including extra equipment and second shifts of laborer.

DURING-Storm

Assume full responsibility during a storm for a zone consisting of between 8-12 properties. Documentation of start, stop times from employees and subcontractors.

Documentation using SiteFotos mobile app to take pictures of proof of work, and verification of needs.

Documentation of work orders needed, and coordination of labor crew to complete the work to DCPS standards.

Efficiently utilize labor, allowing for all hours paid to be invoiced to customer

Work with Territory Manager to solve problems and move crews around per the needs of each individual property. Prioritize the work based on the timing of the storm, and the needs of the route.

Create efficient clean up routes using only the labor needed to get the job completed in a cost-effective manner and communicate plans to Territory Manager.

Executing quality control efforts after a snowstorm: and assist with Timecards, time entry and customer service

Drive a deicing truck to apply products as needed.

Other projects as needed or directed by Territory Manager.

POST-Storm

Conduct daily inspections to identify and remediate thaw-refreeze issues.

Hold team accountable for completing their quality control routes, documentation, and SiteFotos.

Ensure timecards and invoice paperwork are processed expeditiously to get workers paid and customers invoiced quickly.

Work with the Territory Manager to ensure that properties are restored between storms and fully staffed for any upcoming snow events.

Work Environment:

  • Incumbents primarily work out in the field where you will experience frequent exposure to outside elements. Where temperature, weather, noise, and or

Landscaping may be unpleasant and hazardous.

  • Must be able to execute snow management services for long hours.
  • Will be managing teams, crews and subcontractors to deliver quality services.
  • Must be able to work overnight hours effectively.
  • Must be able to attend weekly snow operations meetings in person or Via video
  • Safety sensitive role requiring high attention to detail and awareness

Schedule:

  • Open availability, Flexible, Days, Nights, Weekends, and Holidays.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of operations management preferred
  • Experience working out in the field for snow removal operations, preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s license.
  • Good Communication Skills, Both Written and Verbal (bilingual in SPANISH a plus)
  • Proficient in the SPANISH Language preferred
  • SPANISH language/translation preferred
  • Highly Organized- Production and Planning Skills Required

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Holidays
  • Monday to Friday
  • Night shift
  • On call
  • Weekends

Work Location: Multiple locations

Requirements:

  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including snow, cold temperatures, and heat.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs -regularly.
  • Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
  • Availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts during snow events.
  • Prior experience with landscaping or snow removal preferred but not required.
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate snow removal and landscaping equipment (e.g., shovels, blowers, plows, mowers).
  • Strong work ethics and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and willingness to follow safety protocols.

Compensation:

Hourly rate: $25.00 per hour - $10-dollar snow differential -- Zone manager rate: $35.00 per hour

Bonus: Discretionary End of Season Bonus

Salary : $25 - $35
