What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Inspector - Manufacturing position at DCM Manufacturing?
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for overseeing the quality function and manufacturing line change over, verification of components for work orders, paperwork, and assembly operations. This position will perform all quality inspection, test, and measurement requirements of internal and external products. This position will also perform some basic assembly and sub-assembly training of production personnel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Audit the Operator Work Instructions, workstations and work cells to improve the Quality, efficiency and dependability of the equipment and personnel.
- Execute work orders, special instructions, routings, work instructions, and safety notices.
- Responsible for assigning work, instructing operators on proper operations, teaching safe practices and housekeeping.
- Identify and communicate all quality and safety issues to Team Lead and line associates.
- Perform computer functions as needed in Syteline and Microsoft Excel (daily production) sheets.
- Make visual inspections on all products to meet the Quality requirements of internal and external documents
- Perform measurements and fit and function requirements on all products to meet the Quality requirements of internal and external documents
- Complete performance testing on all products to meet the Quality requirements of internal and external documents- Insertion, Balance, TIR, Air Movement, etc.
- Perform first piece inspections approvals and conduct audit rounds as required
- Assist in the MRB and RGA process.
- Assist in the training of Quality and Production employees.
- Perform Receiving Inspection requirements for all incoming purchased parts as required.
- Set up and operate all test, balance, insertion, hydraulic and pneumatic tools common hand tools and equipment for production work orders and Quality requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
GENERAL SKILLS:
- Must be capable of working with all employees in a professional manner and must be familiar with the company policies and procedures.
- Some computer skills required.
- Possess basic reading/writing and mathematical skills.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years related experience in a manufacturing environment with an emphasis on Quality and assembly skills required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be capable of reading internal and external drawings.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of products being manufactured and have worked as a molding machine operator for one or more years.
- Must have proven communication skills and be able to successfully complete training in the following areas: Quality System, One-piece flow, 5S Housekeeping, Safety training, cellular operation, Work Order Release & Closure and capable of back-up QC Line Lead Training.
- Use of inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, force gauges, indicators, and others.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have any direct reports or supervisory responsibility.
FLSA CLASSIFICATION/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is an non-exempt position which is eligible for overtime. A minimum of forty (40) hours a week is required.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This position does not have any travel requirements.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position is moderately active with the majority of the work done in the production area. Lifting up to 25 pounds may be required on a daily basis as well as walking, bending, twisting, kneeling and squatting.
SAFETY
Safety glasses, hearing protection and other PPE may be required in production areas.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
