Facility Janitor

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain building interiors, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming floors, as well as washing windows and walls.
• Service, clean, and restock restrooms; gather and empty trash throughout the facility.
• Perform heavy cleaning duties such as shampooing rugs and removing rubbish.
• Operate motorized equipment to remove snow and debris from parking lots, yards, and walkways; apply sand as needed to maintain safe surfaces.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks and notify supervisors of any major repairs or issues with building systems.
• Requisition cleaning and maintenance supplies as needed.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and orderly working environment at all times.
• Work effectively with co-workers in a team environment.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand, move, bend, stretch, lift, twist, and reach for extended periods.
• Good hand-eye coordination and ability to safely operate equipment.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and complete required paperwork.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
