We’re looking for an Administrative Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact at the agency in our Child Support Enforcement Office in Rapides Parish, creating a welcoming environment for clients and visitors and providing administrative support that keeps our front office running smoothly.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
- Provides general clerical assistance to professional staff
- Proficient use of automated systems to provide information regarding the party to be served, locate services, casework programs and timesheet functions
- Prepare legal documents, copies, files, logs and bank deposits
- Processes incoming and outgoing mail
- Schedule customer intake appointments
- Assist with paternity establishment appointments
- May serve as receptionist for the office
Position-Specific Details:
Location: This vacancy is located in the Alexandria Child Support Enforcement Office
Career Progression: This position participates in a Career Progression Group (CPG) and may be filled as an Administrative Coordinator 1, 2, or 3. The level at which the vacancy is filled will be determined by the qualifications of the candidate selected. This position provides the opportunity to advance within this job series.
Compensation: The actual starting salary depends on the education and experience of the selected applicant.
Appointment Type: This position may be filled as a probational appointment or a job appointment that may last up to 48 months. Job appointments may convert to probational appointments. Also, it may be filled as a detail and promoted within 12 months or by promotion of a permanent classified employee.
Works Schedule: Typically, work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday. Flexible work schedules are available after meeting certain criteria and is dependent upon the position you are applying for. Some positions require working shifts.
