Key Responsibilities
- Project accounting functions, including overall project monthly maintenance.
- Monitor project profitability, margins, and variances; partner with project managers to improve financial performance. Prepare monthly projects in jeopardy (PIJ) report for Leadership.
- Review monthly client invoices for overall job performance.
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Produce monthly MMR package for DCCM Corporate.
- Review the general ledger and ensure accurate posting of journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including cash, fixed assets, WIP, and intercompany accounts.
- Support annual audits by preparing schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and ensuring proper documentation.
- Partner with CFO to support and help develop annual budget.
- Produce and analyze weekly KPI reports for leadership.
- Prepare supporting schedules, variance analyses, and management reports.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial transactions and reporting.
- Recommend and help implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and financial visibility.
- Support integration of new technologies and automation tools.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 4-7 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Deltek Vantagepoint or a comparable ERP system.
- Strong knowledge of monthly close processes and financial statement preparation.
- Strong communication, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Advanced Excel and general financial systems skills.
- Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
