What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Executive position at DC Thomson?
The Account Executive plays a critical role by supporting Client Services colleagues in the day-to-day execution of client projects. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams to ensure that all client deliverables are met on time and to the highest standard. The Account Executive also plays a key role in completing the administration tasks related to clients and projects.
Client
- Assist in the development of project plans for clients. Support strategic planning by providing research and data and assist in executing planned strategies under senior guidance.
- Support the preparation of proposal documents and client onboarding processes.
- Ensure all deliverables meet specified quality standards. Comply with company and client-specific guidelines.
- Work with other departments to ensure that timelines for deliverables are being met.
- Research client industries and trends to share with the Account Manager.
- Assist in brainstorming sessions to develop new creative concepts.
- Stay updated on industry trends to suggest innovative ideas.
- Source and clearly brief suppliers, such as photographers, videographers and contractors, to ensure the product/service delivered is absolutely aligned with the client’s brief.
- Support in the administration of client accounts, including updating project management systems, scheduling meetings and creating meeting agendas and contact reports.
- Support the creation of high quality, insightful project performance reports for clients.

- Provide administrative support the client services team.
- Provide updates to colleagues, ensuring clear communication.
- Build effective relationships with other departments within the organisation, to ensure alignment on client projects.

Essential:
- Exceptional communication skills
- Effective writing skills
- Must be fluent in English
- IT literacy
Desirable:
- A formal qualification in marketing, communications, business or similar
- Experience in a client-facing environment.
- Understanding of B2B marketing and communications.
- Agency experience and knowledge of the oil & gas industry.
- Skills in digital marketing, content marketing, and media relations.
