About MLV DC
MLV DC will compete as one of five expansion teams in the 2027 season and deliver women’s professional volleyball, one of the fastest growing sports, to the nation’s capital. Anchored in strong regional youth participation, abundant collegiate talent, and an avid local sports fanbase, the franchise will strengthen the major-league footprint of the District and cement it as the Sports Capital. All United Sports and Entertainment (AUSE), led by CEO Jason Levien, adds the team to its robust roster which also includes DC United and DC Power.


Position Summary
The Team Manager is responsible for the day-to-day logistical support of MLV DC volleyball operations during pre-season and playing season. This individual plays a vital role to ensure practices and team operations run efficiently – responsible to manage equipment, organize training, liaise with the primary training facility and any other venues, support the coaching and medical staff, and assist with player needs. The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and proactive. She/he should be able to anticipate needs before they arise, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a positive, service-oriented attitude while supporting a professional volleyball program.

The Team Manager is an essential member of the MLV DC staff, ensuring that the team’s daily operations run smoothly so coaches and athletes can focus on training, preparation, and competition. Their reliability, attention to detail, and willingness to assist across multiple areas contribute significantly to the team’s overall success.





Primary Responsibilities

Equipment Management:
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all volleyball equipment.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all volleyball uniforms and apparel/gear and coordinate distribution to players, coaches, and staff.
  • Oversee laundry for player training attire and game uniforms.
  • Count and inspect volleyballs daily to ensure all equipment is accounted for and in good condition.
  • Maintain practice carts, ball bags, nets, antennas, carts, training aids, and other equipment.
  • Report damaged or missing equipment and coordinate replacements.
  • Organize storage areas to ensure equipment is clean, safe, and easily accessible.

Practice Operations:
  • Set up courts prior to every practice, including:

  • Nets and antennas
  • Ball carts 
  • Coaching equipment
  • Training equipment 
  • Hydration stations (with Athletic Trainer) 
  • Any specialty equipment required for practice 


  • Ensure the practice facility is fully prepared before athletes arrive.
  • Tear down and properly store all equipment following each practice.
  • Assist coaches with practice setup, flow and transitions between drills.
  • Retrieve equipment and support drill execution as needed.
  • Keep score during competitive drills and scrimmages, as requested by coaches.
  • Coordinate the delivery and setup of mandatory team-provided meals.
  • Ensure meals are delivered on schedule and organized efficiently.
  • Assist with other miscellaneous team operations and logistics as needed.

Match Day Operations:
  • Home and Visitor locker room set-up and breakdown.
  • Coordinate with visiting team- locker room, parking, meals, etc.
  • Assist coaches, players, and ATC during matches as needed.

Player Support:

  • Serve as a resource for players regarding non-medical logistical concerns.
  • Assist in addressing issues that may arise at player apartments, coordinating with team administration, housing representatives, or vendors as needed.
  • Help facilitate solutions to ensure athletes can focus on training and competition.



Qualifications 

Required Qualifications:
  • Previous experience managing team operations in collegiate or professional athletics.
  • Volleyball knowledge and understanding of the flow of practices.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Foresight to anticipate needs and take initiative without constant supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed.
  • Comfortable interacting with professional athletes, coaches, and support staff.

Additional Details:

  • Based in the Washington, DC region – working primarily out of MLV DC’s training facility and home playing venue.
  • Flexible to work evenings, weekends.
  • Travel with the team throughout the season to away matches.
  • Ability to lift and move volleyball equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Employment Timeline

Start Date: October 13, 2026

End Date: May 2027 (TBC upon conclusion of MLV DC season and outstanding organizational needs)

Prior to the team’s arrival for pre-season activities on November 1, the Team Manager will:

  • Organize and inventory all volleyball equipment.
  • Prepare practice equipment and storage areas.
  • Assist with outfitting the training facility.
  • Coordinate training camp logistics, including meals and player support needs.
  • Become familiar with team operations, practice procedures, and staff expectations.

Salary Range

$35,000 - $40,000 during employment term
