Job Overview
Local construction company looking for full and part time Project Estimators to analyze project plans, specifications, and blueprints to prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment. Gather quotes from subcontractors and suppliers, identify potential risks, and create proposals for clients. This role involves close collaboration with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure projects are budgeted accurately and can be completed within the allocated funding and timeframes. Hours may be flexible with the potential to work from home. Salary is based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive construction estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project scope using tools such as Bluebeam.
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and vendors to negotiate pricing and contract terms that align with project budgets and objectives.
- Prepare detailed cost proposals, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Perform cost control analysis throughout the project lifecycle to ensure budgets are maintained.
- Assist in the review and management of construction contracts, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers and construction teams to align estimates with site conditions and project schedules.
- Utilize construction estimating best practices to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Support bid preparation process by gathering competitive market data and refining pricing strategies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating, with a strong understanding of construction processes and site management.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, and other estimating or project management software.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to establish favorable terms with vendors and subcontractors.
- Knowledge of construction contracts, cost control methods, and pricing strategies.
- Strong background in construction site experience and construction management principles.
- Ability to analyze complex project data accurately and develop reliable estimates.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
