Janitor
DBS is seeking a dependable Janitor for temporary coverage (6-8 weeks - 2 months) to support a campus team during employee vacation leave. You will maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across administrative offices, public lobbies, conference boardrooms, corridors, fitness facilities, and school spaces, as well as manage daily event setups.
Shift & Schedule Details: Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities divided along the week.
- General & Administrative Areas: Clean, sweep, vacuum, and mop executive offices, workstations, conference rooms, reception areas, and lobbies. Sanitize high-touch surfaces like desks, handles, and keyboards. Maintain clean entrance ways and public seating.
- Restrooms & Locker Rooms: Clean, disinfect, and restock public, staff, accessible, and seasonal outdoor restrooms. Sweep and wipe down women’s/family locker rooms daily, and scrub showers for mold prevention (one shower per day).
- Stairwells & Program Areas: Wet mop main and fitness center stairs twice weekly. Perform daily post-lunch trash runs and Multi-Purpose Room cleaning in the school area. Clean auxiliary rooms (Kids Areas, Library, etc) and outdoor playground as needed. Stairs must be mopped twice a week.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of commercial janitorial practices, sanitization standards, and basic equipment
- Professional demeanor with visitors, corporate tenants, and staff
- Strong time management skills, punctuality, and ability to work independently
- Physical stamina to stand/walk 4 hours per shift and lift when required supplies, tables, chairs.
