IT Project Leader – Network & Infrastructure Delivery

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end network and infrastructure projects from initiation through deployment, operational handoff, and support transition
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including business stakeholders, network engineers, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity teams, telecom providers, and external vendors
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resource allocation, risks, dependencies, and delivery milestones
  • Ensure alignment between business requirements and network/infrastructure solutions
  • Drive governance activities including steering committees, status reporting, KPIs, issue tracking, risk mitigation, and executive escalations
  • Ensure compliance with client standards, cybersecurity policies, change management procedures, and documentation requirements
  • Coordinate network implementations, migrations, upgrades, site rollouts, data center activities, and cloud connectivity initiatives
  • Manage incidents, changes, releases, and operational transition activities following ITIL best practices
  • Monitor project delivery performance related to quality, cost, timelines, and service availability
  • Support Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies based on customer requirements
  • Coordinate testing, validation, deployment readiness, cutover planning, and post-implementation support
  • Manage third-party vendors, telecom carriers, hardware providers, and Statements of Work (SoWs)
  • Ensure effective communication and synchronization between geographically distributed and cross-functional teams
  • Serve as the primary client-facing lead for project coordination, delivery oversight, and stakeholder communication

Typical Skills & Experience

  • Strong IT infrastructure and network project management background
  • Experience managing enterprise network projects including LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, firewall, VPN, VoIP, cloud networking, and data center initiatives
  • Knowledge of network technologies, infrastructure operations, cybersecurity, and enterprise IT environments
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and/or traditional PM frameworks (PMP, Prince2, Waterfall)
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, MS Project, Visio, and reporting/dashboard platforms
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes including incident, problem, change, and release management
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and executive reporting skills
  • Strong risk management, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to work effectively in complex, global, and highly regulated enterprise environments
  • Experience coordinating onshore, offshore, and third-party delivery teams preferred
  • Client business and operational teams
  • Network engineering and infrastructure teams
  • Cybersecurity and cloud operations teams
  • External vendors, telecom providers, and subcontractors
  • Global delivery teams across multiple regions and time zones

The role is highly cross-functional and combines:

  • Vendor and partner coordination

Preferred Certifications

  • PMP, Prince2, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or SAFe certifications
  • ITIL Foundation or ITIL Practitioner certification
  • Network-related certifications such as Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), AWS, Azure, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or equivalent are a plus
