Support the Divisional Safety Team’s efforts and actions towards the safety performance of the USA truck fleet and compliance with the applicable DOT laws and regulations. Promote a culture of Safety that encourages safe driving and compliance with DOT laws and regulations, a reduction in CSA Basic Scores, and a reduction in accidents.

Responsibilities
PURPOSE
Support the Divisional Safety Team’s efforts and actions towards the safety performance of the USA truck fleet and compliance with the applicable DOT laws and regulations. Promote a culture of Safety that encourages safe driving and compliance with DOT laws and regulations, a reduction in CSA Basic Scores, and a reduction in accidents.
Principal Accountabilities
- Review and analyze data to identify appropriate areas for safety and awareness training
- Investigate accidents and conduct/support root cause analysis
- Monitor the safety system program
- Coach on risk associated behavior
- Develop reports and analyze data to measure safety performance
- Monitor and maintain team’s compliance with all applicable DOT laws and regulations
- Conduct safety performance reviews and partner with operational partners to develop driver performance improvement plans
- Promote a culture of Safety that encourages safe driving and compliance with DOT laws and regulations
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
- 2 years transportation experience, knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations
- 1 years experience using data driven decision making
- Ability to work in a computerized environment utilizing multiple systems
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1 years experience in Safety/Risk related field
- 1 years experience communicating with professional CDL drivers
- Ability to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience
- Ability to work in a team environment to continuously improve results
- Able to promote a culture of trust and safety
This position will be required to work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, and, with or without reasonable accommodation is required to:
- Remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
- Frequently operate a computer for extended periods of time and regularly operate other office productivity machines.
- Occasionally ascend/descend stairs and move up to 20 pounds of office objects.
- Frequently communicate with peers, supervisors, third parties, and other employees to exchange accurate information and answer questions.
- Occasionally attend meetings in buildings outside corporate office and at off-site locations with various internal conditions, and requiring travel in various external conditions.
- Travel domestically as necessary.
