What are the responsibilities and job description for the Insert & Connect - 1st Shift - L4 position at Dayton-Phoenix Group?
The position of Insert/Connect operator will be responsible for the assembly and dimensional inspection of various electromotive assemblies. Responsibilities include assembly set up, placement of parts, measuring, and visual inspection.
Essential qualifications for this position include:
- Previous insert/connect experience preferred.
- Must be able to read/understand part and assembly drawings, process specs & work instructions.
- Ability to read tape measures and measuring scales.
- Possess basic math skills required for working with decimals and fractions.
- Able to produce high quality parts and assemblies made to print/spec requirements.
Non-Essential qualifications for this position include:
- Able to lift, push or pull up to 40 lbs.
- Able to operate an overhead crane.
- Able to perform repetitive motions with hands, wrists, and arms.
- Able to use hand tools and other equipment as required.
- Is safety oriented, follows shop rules.
- If not performing as expected, the candidate may be returned to their previous wage/position any time during the probation period.
