Job Description:
Role Description: Dayspring Community Church (Auburn, IN) is seeking to hire an experienced ministry leader with a vast knowledge of local church ministry operations. This role would be a counterpart to the Lead Pastor, in strategic leadership, management/development of a vibrant staff, and bringing ministry alignment to the mission of Dayspring: Go and Make Disciples. We exist to gather in Christ-exalting worship and scatter in Gospel-driven disciple making, all for the Glory of God.
Status: Full-Time, Pastoral | Type: Salary Benefits | Hours: Sun-Thurs office hours flexible evenings.
Direct Report: Lead Pastor | Supervisory Role: Yes (All Staff, Pastors, and Directors)
Collaborates with: Elders/Pastors
Qualifications:
- An evident and clear submission to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
- An evident love for people and the ministry of the local church.
- Flexible and adaptable personality for a growing church (1000 average Sunday attendance).
- Proven experience in church leadership with a highly motivated work ethic.
- At least 10 years of pastoral/ministry experience.
- General knowledge of organizational, building, and financial management.
- Strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong alignment with the beliefs, values, and ministry philosophy of Dayspring Church.
Education: B.A. or M.A. in Ministry/Business or Certification/Licence equivalent preferred.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Lead Pastor by managing Dayspring’s day-to-day business and administrative operations, allowing the Lead Pastor to focus on spiritual leadership, pastoral care, and vision of the church.
- Ensure all ministry departments are aligned with the church’s mission and vision.
- Lead and develop staff culture in alignment with staff values and mission.
- Streamline internal processes and systems to maximize ministry impact.
- Facilitate all-staff meetings, one-on-one leadership development, and retreats/conferences.
- Supervise staff to ensure compliance with policies and procedures in accordance with the staff handbook.
- Provide mid-year/annual performance evaluations of staff with S.M.A.R.T. goals.
- Oversee church operations staff/deacons (finance, facilities, H.R. and campaign contracts).
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations on finances, audits, and 501c3 state regulations.
- Co-Chair the Leadership Advisory Board (L.A.B.) with Director of Operations.
Optional areas of emphasis in executive leadership: Missions/Outreach, Groups, Next Steps, Biblical Soul Care, Sunday Programming, etc.
Personal & Spiritual Expectations:
- Exemplify a personal life of worship, integrity, accountability, and growth in discipleship.
- Meet weekly with the pastoral discipleship group and monthly with the pastor/elder team.
- Seek continued education through coaching/counseling/personal study.

Pay: $61,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
