Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to foster loyalty and trust
- Assist customers in selecting products based on their preferences and needs, offering detailed product demos when appropriate
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for sales transactions, cash handling, and inventory management
- Upsell products by highlighting features and benefits to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with fresh, appealing products
- Conduct regular stock checks, assist with inventory counts, and restock shelves to ensure product availability
- Educate customers on responsible consumption practices and answer questions about product effects and usage
- Handle phone inquiries professionally, providing accurate information while practicing excellent phone etiquette
- Support the team with basic retail math for transactions, sales reporting, and cash reconciliation
- Assist in product demos to educate customers about new or featured items
- Assist with inventory.
- Assist with deliveries.
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a grocery store or similar environment involving customer interaction
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership capabilities in a retail setting
- Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures is essential for smooth transactions
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and stock management practices
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for sales transactions and inventory counts
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to handle inquiries professionally
- Experience in upselling, product demos, and retail math enhances your effectiveness in this role
- A proactive attitude with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
