Duties

- Prepare, cook, and serve meals that meet safety standards and adhere to approved recipes
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, mixers, and food processors efficiently and safely
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment
- Handle food with care, practicing proper food handling techniques including poaching, braising, grilling, and food production methods
- Assist with food portioning and meal presentation to ensure appealing and balanced servings
- Maintain accurate records of food inventory, storage conditions, and sanitation practices
Qualifications
- Previous dietary aide or food service experience in a high-volume or childcare setting is preferred
- Strong knowledge of menu planning, food preparation techniques including poaching, braising, grilling, and knife skills
- Experience with food safety management and sanitizing procedures is essential
- Familiarity with dietary department operations or food industry standards enhances your suitability for this role
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to health regulations
