JOB DESCRIPTION
The Licensing Specialist will support Daybright’s compliance and licensing operations across our Benefits, Retirement and Financial Services Segments. This role ensures that our staff, including Financial Advisors, Sales Directors, Account Executives, and Account Managers, maintain appropriate and up-to-date licenses in accordance with federal and state regulations. The position spans FINRA registrations and Life/Health insurance licensing across most U.S. states.
This is an entry to mid-level role ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for compliance in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and track licensing requirements for Financial Advisors (FINRA Series 6/7) and Life/Health licensed professionals.
- Coordinate initial licensing, renewals, and continuing education across multiple states.
- Liaise with Segment leaders and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
- Maintain licensing databases and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Serve as a point of contact for licensing-related inquiries and escalations.
- Support and collaborate legal and compliance teams with state registrations, audits and reporting.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance to align licensing status with onboarding and compensation processes.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 2–5 years of experience in licensing, compliance, or legal operations (financial services or insurance preferred).
- Prior experience with insurance carriers or brokerage firms a plus.
- Familiarity with FINRA and state insurance licensing requirements.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and licensing platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
