Overview
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Plant Admin / Accounting Associate to join our operations team. In this role, you will be working closely with manufacturing personnel. The plant Admin. / Accounting Associate is responsible for providing and analysing relevant internal accounting data for Processed Foods Division executives. With minimal supervision, the Plant Admin / Accounting Associate processes various data and accurately reports product costs and operation results, contributing to an efficient manufacturing operation. Assist the Plant Controller with various tasks to meet division objectives.
Specific Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for timely and accurate collection, verification, and reporting of production data for cost accounting purposes
- Assists managing all aspects of paperwork for the Plant Controller
- Communicates with various department personnel to ensure division objectives are met as directed by the Plant Controller
- Creates and review controls needed for data accumulation and reporting systems.
- Performs cost accumulation tasks and updates bill of material standard costs
- Verifies operational data and prepares or reviews various reports using Excel; inventory and production summary, maintenance / supply order tracking, etc.
- Assist the analyzing capital budgeting requests
- Asist the Plant Controller to resolve production related issues and works on special projects.
Requirements;
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field with courses in cost accounting, management accounting is preferred
- Three to five years of related experience in the food processing industry is preferred
- Strong communication(both verbal and written), interpersonal and secretarial skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Bilingual Japanese/English or English/Spanish is preferred
- Flexible self starter with proven ability to perform effectively within ambiguous situations
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Ability to thrive in multicultural environment
- Ability to interpret shop floors reports, which include batch sheets for processing of material
- Ability to download data and prepare reports for inventory and production using Microsoft Excel (proficiency in Microsoft office tools preferred)
- Ability to learn and use automated systems, such as BOM system, RF menu and addendum systems, and JD Edwards system with minimal training/supervision

Physical Demands:
- Must be able to regularly lift and/ or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job included close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of walk; stand, reach over shoulder, reach overhead, reach outward, bend, talk, hear and repetitive motions stoop, kneel, crouch, and taste or smell.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
