Day Air Credit Union is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Commercial Lending Operations Specialist.
The Commercial Lending Operations Specialist position is responsible for commercial loan processing and servicing and various administrative duties in support of the Business Services department. This is a highly leveraged position with both daily task-related responsibility and internal and external customer service responsibility, tapping into technical capability and soft skills.
Responsibilities
Loan Origination Support
- Distributes and tracks incoming leads from Financial Center associates and contact requests.
- Assists lender(s) with obtaining financials to develop loan packages, following up with borrowers when items are missing or incomplete, and confirms receipt once all documents are received.
- Reviews financial packages for completeness and proper organization structure in loan origination system
- Reviews pipeline with Business and Commercial Relationship Managers and Credit Analyst weekly to ensure status of loan and deliverables are in sync.
- Collaborates with third party vendors (title, insurance, appraisal, environmental, and legal) to obtain products and services necessary for loan process and ensure adherence to policy.
- Opens new accounts for loan boarding.
- Orders payoffs when applicable
Loan Servicing Support
- Audits and archives executed loan package
- Monitors and tracks commercial real estate insurance and property taxes, UCC Filings, balloon dates, periodic and annual reviews, ticklers, covenants and other necessary reporting as assigned.
- Assists with obtaining financials to develop renewal packages, following up with borrowers when items are missing or incomplete, and confirms receipt once all documents are received.
Member Service
- Assists with general loan, account, and member service inquiries.
- Assists in updating borrowers and other stakeholders on status of loan requests
Compliance
- Ensures the protection of the credit union’s interests in matters of adequate documentation and adherence to laws, rules and regulations, as well as the exercise of sound decisions.
- Ensures proper policies, procedures, and operating controls are followed.
- Maintains confidentiality
