Position Overview:
Dawson ISD is seeking a motivated and dedicated Special Education Teacher or Junior High Math Teacher / Head Girls Track Coach to join our team. This position includes classroom teaching responsibilities along with leadership of the girls track program and additional coaching duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing students both academically and athletically.
Key Responsibilities:
-Teach Special Education or Junior High Math courses in alignment with TEKS and district expectations
-Create an engaging and structured classroom environment that promotes student learning
-Develop and implement accommodations, modifications, and instructional supports as needed
-Serve as Head Girls Track Coach
-Assist with additional athletic duties and sports as assigned
-Plan, organize, and supervise practices, meets, and athletic events
-Promote teamwork, discipline, leadership, and sportsmanship among student-athletes
-Collaborate with coaching staff, administration, and faculty to support student success
-Maintain communication with students, parents, and staff
-Uphold district policies, UIL regulations, and professional standards
