Position Overview:
Dawson ISD is seeking a motivated and dedicated Junior High English Teacher / Head Volleyball Coach to join our team. This position includes teaching Junior High English courses along with leading the girls volleyball program and assisting with additional athletic duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will be passionate about student achievement both academically and athletically.
Key Responsibilities:
-Teach Junior High English in alignment with TEKS and district expectations
-Create an engaging and structured classroom environment that promotes student learning
-Serve as Head Volleyball Coach
-Organize and supervise practices, games, offseason workouts, and athletic events
-Assist with additional coaching assignments as needed
-Promote teamwork, discipline, leadership, and sportsmanship among student-athletes
-Collaborate with coaching staff, administration, and faculty to support student success
-Maintain communication with students, parents, and staff
-Uphold district policies, UIL regulations, and professional standards
