ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Poolside Bartender is responsible for creating an enjoyable and welcoming atmosphere at the pool area and lounge for guests while preparing and serving beverages in a timely manner. They are also responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area. With extensive knowledge of common drinks, cocktails, beers, and wines, you will be in charge of managing drink orders at our hotel while adhering to local and state liquor laws. This position is primarily outdoors and demands a high level of energy, exceptional customer service skills, and is exposed to extended periods of sun.

Hourly wage of $18- $19 plus gratuities/tips based on performance.

Essential Duties:

• Provide exceptional bar service to guests in the pool area, including taking and delivering food and drink orders.
• Mix and serve alcohol and non-alcohol drinks for guests following standard recipes and using company standardized proportions.
• Remain knowledgeable about the menu and drink specials and make recommendations to guests.
• Maintain cleanliness and order around the pool deck, including clearing debris, wiping down surfaces, and ensuring the space is always guest ready.
• Serve alcohol beverages responsibly, request identification, and adhere to all company alcohol service policies and procedures.
• Transport supplies and orders between the restaurant and pool area regularly—this requires walking long distances multiple times during a shift.
• Assist with pool area setup and breakdown, including moving lounge chairs, umbrellas, and light furniture.
• Maintain a cheerful and professional demeanor while engaging with guests.
• Enter drink orders into the POS system, collect payments from guests, and make correct change.
• Complete sales and inventory reports accurately.
• Maintain bar stock by ordering or requisitioning liquors, beverages, condiments, and supplies.
• Clean and store bar equipment and bar stock.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Requirements & Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Strong knowledge of state and local liquor laws.
• At least 1 year of front-of-house experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant required; hotel experience preferred.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Be able to use point-of-sale systems to process payments and handle cash and credit card transactions.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines as set by hotel and local authorities.
• Ability to lift stock up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
