Now Hiring: Baristas & Food Prep Team Members
Location: Off South Street, Philadelphia 19146
A new café is opening soon near Naval Square, Philadelphia 19146! We’re looking for experienced baristas, new baristas eager to learn, and food preparation team members to join our opening crew.
Our team will work together in all aspects of day-to-day café operations, from crafting quality coffee and using the coffee machinery, to running the POS, bussing tables, running the dishwasher, and keeping our space welcoming and organized. If you’re a great communicator, a reliable teammate, and love connecting with people, we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with care and consistency
- Operate the POS system to take and process orders accurately and efficiently
- Provide friendly, attentive service to every customer
- Handle cash transactions and practice basic retail math
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Assist with preparing and serving light bites or food items as needed
- Keep the café clean, organized, and stocked by monitoring inventory and performing routine upkeep
What We're Looking For
- Prior barista or food service experience is a plus, but not required. We're happy to train the right people
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with POS systems and basic cash handling (or willingness to learn)
- Solid time management skills, especially during busy rushes
- Basic knowledge of food safety and proper handling techniques
- Flexibility to work early mornings and weekends
