What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Trades Instructor Assistant/Career Technical Education Student Support position at Davison Community Schools?
- Documented current and relevant work experience and training in wage-earning construction-related services
- Interact effectively and cooperatively with students, staff, and parents
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding students and staff
- Ability to work with secondary level students
- Ability to be self-directive
- Enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among students.
- Observe and assist in evaluating students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
- Assist in monitoring students in the use and care of equipment and materials to prevent injury and damage.
- Enforce all administration policies and rules governing students.
- Demonstrate initiative and understanding in working with students and adults
- Be willing to participate in a variety of extra-curriculum and co-curricular activities.
- The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.
- Maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrate mental/physical ability to deal with situations which may arise. The physical requirements for performing the essential duties are as follows: sitting, lifting, stooping, standing, carrying, walking, and climbing stairs.
