Due to continued growth, we are looking to add a Warehouse Operations & Service Support Lead to our Hawthorne, NY team. This full-time, onsite role works Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with a one-hour lunch, and supports service operations by managing inventory, maintaining the shop, preparing materials, and coordinating the tools and equipment needed by field teams. Success in this role requires organization, initiative, mechanical aptitude, effective communication, inventory-control skills, and the ability to respond to changing operational priorities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Stock, organize, and prepare tools and materials needed by service technicians and field teams.
- Communicate with Service Operations team members regarding material, equipment, and scheduling needs.
- Track inventory and complete weekly inventory reviews.
- Maintain accurate records of materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Monitor stock levels and identify materials and supplies that need to be replenished.
- Estimate material needs and coordinate or place orders as required.
- Receive, inspect, store, and issue materials, tools, and equipment.
- Maintain an organized, clean, safe, and efficient shop and storage area.
- Follow appropriate procedures for the storage, handling, and care of materials and equipment.
- Maintain and clean mechanical equipment and tools.
- Perform basic repairs and maintenance using hand and power tools.
- Assist with fleet-management activities and daily vehicle-operational needs.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal team members regarding inventory, tools, equipment, and service requirements.
- Respond to miscellaneous shop and operational support requests.
- Help ensure service technicians have the appropriate materials, tools, and equipment needed to complete their work.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience supporting warehouse, stockroom, inventory, shop, service, or related operations.
- Knowledge of inventory-control practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of the proper storage, handling, and care of materials, tools, and equipment.
- Ability to maintain accurate inventory records and monitor material usage and availability.
- Ability to estimate material and supply needs and coordinate orders.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with service technicians, operations teams, vendors, and other internal departments.
- Ability to work independently and respond to changing operational priorities.
- Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the fire protection, construction, mechanical contracting, or a related industry.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Work primarily in a warehouse, shop, and operational-support environment.
- Stand and walk for extended periods while preparing, organizing, and issuing materials.
- Regularly bend, reach, push, pull, kneel, and perform repetitive motions.
- Safely lift, carry, and move tools, materials, supplies, and equipment as required.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment.
- Work around stored materials, moving equipment, dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
- Follow applicable safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
