Primary Responsibilities
· Meal Prep & Service: Prepare and serve delicious meals in compliance with USDA and health department guidelines.
· Food Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain top-tier cleanliness in the kitchen, dishwashing area, and dining hall.
· Daily Operations: Follow kitchen Standard Operating Procedures, utilize equipment safely, and manage the serving line efficiently.
· Inventory Control: Manage inventory to ensure correct delivery, rotation, and storage of food items.
· Quality Improvement: Participate in the organization's quality improvement (PQI) processes to help improve service delivery.
Position Requirements (West Virginia State Mandates)
· Age 23 Required: Per state residential childcare licensing laws, you must be at least 23 years old (no exceptions).
· Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
· Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant food service or kitchen experience.
· Background Check: Ability to pass fingerprinting and clearance through WV CARES and APS/CPS.
· Drug Screening: Must pass a pre-employment drug screen. Note: We test for THC, but legal hemp/delta variants are permitted with prior disclosure and proof of store receipt/packaging.
