Kaysville Jr High is seeking a motivated and positive Junior High Track & Field Sprint Coach to work with student-athletes in grades 7–9. The sprint coach will be responsible for developing athletes’ speed, technique, and confidence while fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and a love for physical activity. Primary Responsibilities:

• Coach and develop student-athletes in sprint events (e.g., 100m, 200m, 400m, relays)
• Plan and implement age-appropriate practices focused on fundamentals, conditioning, and skill development
• Teach proper sprint mechanics, starts, and race strategies
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe team environment
• Supervise athletes during practices, meets, and team events
• Communicate effectively with the head coach, athletes, and parents
• Support and uphold school and district policies
• Emphasize sportsmanship, effort, and personal growth Qualifications:
• Experience coaching track and field and/or sprint events preferred
• Experience working with junior high–aged students strongly preferred
• Knowledge of sprinting techniques, training principles, and safety practices
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Ability to motivate and positively influence student-athletes
