Responsibilities
- Diagnose appliance issues by interpreting schematics, technical manuals, and customer descriptions
- Perform repairs on various appliances including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, and HVAC systems
- Use mechanical knowledge to disassemble, repair, and reassemble appliances accurately and efficiently
- Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot electrical components
- Conduct equipment repairs in customers’ homes or commercial settings with professionalism and care
- Assist with appliance installation or assembly as needed for new or replacement units
- Maintain detailed service records, including parts used, repairs performed, and diagnostic findings
- Operate box trucks or delivery vehicles safely to transport tools and replacement parts to job sites
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction during every interaction
Skills
- Proven experience in appliance repair or as a service technician with a focus on household appliances
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience for troubleshooting complex systems
- Ability to read and understand schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Familiarity with refrigeration systems and HVAC components is highly desirable
- Previous delivery driver experience with box trucks or similar vehicles is a plus
- Skilled in equipment repair, assembly, and general mechanical troubleshooting
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional approach
- Ability to work independently in the field while managing time effectively
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to electrical work, refrigeration, and equipment handling
