Job Description: Sales Journeyman / Administrative Assistant
Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Sales Journeyman / Administrative Assistant to support our sales team and gain hands-on training from an industry expert. This position offers an opportunity to develop essential skills in sales, customer service, and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be trained in various aspects of the sales process, including test drives, product knowledge, customer follow-up, and delivery. Key Responsibilities:
- Test Drives: Assist in organizing and coordinating test drives for customers, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
- Training: Participate in ongoing training to enhance your knowledge in the following areas:
- Product Knowledge: Understand the products being sold, their features, benefits, and how to effectively communicate these to customers.
- Sales Process: Learn and follow the company’s sales process, from initial customer interaction to closing the sale.
- Delivery Expert: Assist in the delivery process by ensuring that customers receive their purchased products on time and in good condition.
- Customer Follow-up: Maintain communication with customers post-purchase to ensure satisfaction, address any concerns, and foster positive relationships.
- Data Entry: Accurately input customer information and sales data into the company’s database, ensuring proper record-keeping and reporting.
- Document Quality Control: Review sales documents for accuracy and completeness before they are sent to accounting, ensuring all required paperwork is properly filled out.
- Customer Service Support: Provide general clerical support to the sales team, answer customer inquiries, and assist in resolving issues as needed.
Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving history.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Flexibility to work evening and Saturday hours as required.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to review and verify documents for accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a sales or administrative role is a plus but not required.
- Customer service experience is advantageous.
- A strong interest in the automotive industry or sales is beneficial.
- Comfort with social media is a plus
